This 1978 Honda Gold Wing was originally owned by well-known car and motorcycle collector and L.A. Times publisher Otis Chandler, and purchased by the seller from his estate in 2006. The bike remains 100% original down to its factory-fit tires, and has traveled only 30 miles from new.
Photos speak to its remarkable state of preservation, and extensive documentation supports owernship and mileage histories. The bike dates from the penultimate model year for first-generation Gold Wings, and these GL1000s are currently the subject of much renewed interest.
According to the seller, the bike remains in perfect running and riding order despite its exceptionally low odometer reading.
